Jessica Berlin Jessica Berlin is the founder and CEO of CoStruct. A development and foreign policy expert turned entrepreneur, her career has spanned over ten years with German and US government organizations as well as nonprofits in Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America. This experience inspires Jessica's work creating new systems and building public-private partnerships for global business and technology innovation.

Kamau Gachigi Dr. Kamau Gachigi is the Executive Director of Gearbox. Previously, he headed the University of Nairobi Science & Technology Park, founded the UoN Fab Lab, and worked for 2.5 years as a researcher at TDK in Japan. In addition to his work as a lecturer and researcher, he holds a US patent in electronic materials for a biomedical device, has published numerous scientific papers, and is a prolific public speaker.

Kamau Gachigi

Dr. Kamau Gachigi is the Executive Director of Gearbox. Andrew Lamb Andrew Lamb is the Innovation Advisor at Field Ready and a consultant for the World Bank on open data. He was the first staff Chief Executive of Engineers Without Borders UK and a trustee of the disaster relief training organization RedR UK in the UK and Kenya. Andrew is also director of the Appropedia Foundation and co-founder of the Centre for Global Equality in Cambridge.

Anna Lowe Anna has always been fascinated by how things are made and how they get to the people who need them. With a background including running a factory and nine years of global supply chain consulting, she is now exploring how local manufacturing can contribute to economic growth and the availability of needed devices in developing countries. She is a co-founder of Kumasi Hive, a makerspace in Ghana.

Jonathan Robinson Jonathan Robinson is an entrepreneur, author and anthropologist. He is the founder of Civic, co-founder of the global Impact Hub network, and author of the book Careers Un-Ltd. Jonathan has launched numerous ventures with partners ranging from the UK Cabinet Office, British Council, Tate Modern, and the Guardian Media Group to UNICEF, the Anna Freud Centre, and with peace entrepreneurs in Afghanistan.

Michael Gathogo Michael Gathogo is the Project Coordinator of the MakerNet pilot in Kenya. He is a product designer and entrepreneur and has designed a range of products from the CladLight wearable tech to reduce motorcycle accidents in Kenya to a medical delivery drone and circular economy solutions. Michael specializes in digital fabrication, 3D printing, CAD modelling, CNC milling and tooling, and is a member of Gearbox.
